We’re helping shape the next chapter of Keith Haring’s most enduring public artwork.
A multi-year strategic partnership with CityKids Foundation. We supported bringing the first Keith Haring digital asset to Sotheby’s, and helped activate the work for new audiences at Art Basel Miami and America’s 250th anniversary.
The People’s Masterpiece.
In 1986, during the Statue of Liberty Centennial, Keith Haring collaborated with 1,000 young people across New York City’s five boroughs to create ‘CityKids Speak on Liberty’ — a 90-foot public artwork and the largest Haring ever created.
CityKids Foundation has stewarded the work for nearly four decades, exhibiting it in New York, Paris, Chicago, Miami, and Japan. Good News Studio joined as strategic advisor on its next chapter in 2022.
Bringing the work into the conversation on digital assets.
We led strategy for the first-ever Keith Haring digital asset sale at Sotheby’s — positioning a four-decade-old work within an entirely new cultural and collecting context. During Art Basel Miami, we produced speaking opportunities and activations on CityKids’ behalf, including a pop-up at TIME’s TIMEPieces event and a center stage panel at Scope Art Fair.

500 young people. One unforgettable day.
For America’s 250th anniversary, Good News Studio led concept and planning for Relight the Torch — a multi-faceted public art engagement built around CityKids’ landmark Keith Haring installation.
The activation included a collaborative coloring mural, a tabletop discussion experience exploring democracy, liberty, and freedom, and a city-wide art scavenger hunt. Forty years after 1,000 young people collaborated with Keith Haring to create the original work, 500 gathered around it again in Philadelphia — exploring democracy, identity, and what liberty means now. Together, they engaged with a piece that has only grown more relevant with time.
Strategy that goes beyond the moment.
There is no one like Rachel Wilkins. Her brilliant leadership in creating and packaging content, booking podcasts and events, and making key business introductions was remarkable. She jumped in as part of our team and took us through Art Basel, booking our team on all relevant panels. She has become part of our CityKids family.
What started as advisory support around a single cultural moment has grown into a multi-year strategic partnership — spanning institutions, cities, and one of the most significant public artworks in the country.
Some partnerships are transactional. This one became family.
Strategic advisory that sticks around.
Good News Studio partners with nonprofits and institutions for the long arc — not the one-time moment. We understand the mission and show up across the moments that matter. If you want a partner who treats the relationship as a long-term investment, this is exactly the work we do.
